Moisturisers!

At the moment its Summertime here in Ireland (or meant to be) so a good mosturiser is needed.

To protect against UV rays as well as hydrate the skin.

The moisturiser I am using mostly this month is: Elemis Maximum moisture day cream.

I have heard a lot about elemis in the last few months, on magazines or from family and friends. My mother uses it all the time, my sister recently has got some products so I needed to see what all the hype was about.

I must say it does exactly what it says on the tin. The reason I went for this one, was I am conscious of dehydration, some days I drink the perfect amount of water but diet may be off, and other days I would not get to drink as much so our skin needs to be topped up with water supplies all the time, and it is what I am most conscious of with my skin.

The moisturiser comes in a 50ml squeezy bottle. You only need the smallest amount of product, apply to cleansed and toned skin. It is quite expensive at €49.00, you maybe lucky to get it for a cheaper price on different websites, I know at one stage I got it for €39.50 which was a good saving. I have bought other products in this range that I have heard are very good but not got to try them as yet. I am still using up my previous skin care range.

Before I got Elemis, I was using the fantastic Brand of Matis. This is a french brand only available to buy in certain spas / beauty rooms. I had the opportunity of using this range of product when I was training in skincare and found all of them to be absolutely amazing.

The moisturiser I used from the matis range was from the Response Jeunesse collection, which translated to age prevention collection. This is the purple collection as every bottle is distinguished by a different stripe in colour.

This moisturiser was lovely and my skin always felt fab after using it. However if I had to decide over the two I think I would have to choose Elemis, as it feels more light weight and that it is doing its job properly. I sometimes used to get little dry patches and felt I had to use more moisturiser but with Elemis I never do.

Looking forward to trying out the rest of the range!! :)
